Tim on Fascination Street Podcast

Tim was the guest for the February 17 episode of Fascination Street Podcast. He spoke with host Steve Owens for nearly an hour about everything from growing up in the Ithaca area to getting started in acting to Diahann Carroll to Kipling. They also got into some of Tim’s most recent projects, guest-starring on Paramount’s 68 Whiskey and narrating the Lucky Dey series.

Many, many thanks, Tim, for the Team DeKay shout-out at the end! You rock! ❤ (And hat tip to Kristen for the heads-up!)

Claris Health City Lights Gala Interviews

Thanks so much to Kristen for the heads-up on this!

LRM Online has posted an interview that they did with Tim from the Claris Health City Lights Gala on October 19. Tim attended to support the wonderful Sharif Atkins, who was the event’s emcee. Check out the interview below.

I looked for other interviews from the event and was also able to find one from Shirin Paulino at Rich Girl Network.tv, with a special appearance/interview-bomb by Sharif. (Ear fondling and discussion of chaps may be involved.) 😉

Rich Girl Network.tv interviews with Tim (starts at 0:19), Marcus Folmar, and Yawar Charlie.

Enjoy!

(And in totally unrelated news, the photo gallery isn’t working. It has something to do with SQL, but I just started a new full-time job with overtime, so I haven’t been able to look into it. I’ll try to fix it when I get a chance. If anyone recognizes the error and knows how to fix it, let me know!)

RIP Diahann Carroll

Tim with Diahann Carroll in 2014.

Trailblazer, talent, beauty, icon, legend – just a few of the many wonderful words being used to remember Diahann Carroll today. Most of you in this fandom, of course, knew her as June Ellington, but she’d had a long and groundbreaking career before moving into that mansion on Riverside Drive. She won a Tony in 1962, a Golden Globe in 1969, was nominated for four Emmys and an Academy Award, and was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2011. As the star of “Julia” in the late 1960s, she was the first black actress cast in a lead, non-servant role. Depending on your age, you may also remember her from recurring roles on “Dynasty,” “A Different World,” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Tim with Diahann Carroll in the White Collar episode, Power Play.

On a more personal note, I loved Diahann’s role on WC. From the first episode to the last, she brought elegance, grace, and even a bit of sass to June and made her a character that everyone loved. I was so happy that a whole new generation was introduced to her singing, and I thought she had such beautiful diction while speaking as well. (And as someone who is admittedly fluent in profanity, I chuckled at the fact that even someone as classy as Diahann was not immune to the occasional expletive, as evidenced in the season six gag reel.)

Rest easy, Ms. Carroll. You will certainly be missed. Also, fuck cancer.

RMWP Fan Works Master Post

In addition to raffle prizes, those who donated to Tim’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign had the option of using some or all of their donation amount to commission fan works (writing or art). We were pleasantly surprised by the response; in all, we received 8 fan works commissions – four for writing and four for art!

Here are the links to the works that have been completed so far. As others are finished, they’ll be added to this list, and we’ll link this entry in the sidebar to make it easier to find! Enjoy!

Let’s help Tim get the rest of the way to his goal – he’s so close!

Thanks so, so much to everyone who donated to Tim’s campaign, as well as to everyone who donated raffle prizes and fan works, everyone who helped us signal boost on social media, etc. You’re all awesome! 💗

Real Men Wear Pink update

We’re now two weeks in to helping Tim with his Real Men Wear Pink fundraiser, and we’ve raised over $1000 for breast cancer awareness and research! Thank you so, so much to everyone who has donated, to those who have offered raffle prizes and fan works, and to those who are helping spread the word on social media. We truly appreciate it!

RMWP total

Just a reminder that if you want to participate in the raffle, tiered donation prizes, or fan work commissions-for-donations, you need to email your donation confirmation to us! Instructions are on our RMWP page. If you’re having trouble getting your confirmation to us, send us a message her or on social media.

Also, stay tuned for the first of the tiered donation shout-out videos, coming soon!

Our raffle runs until November 15, but Tim’s RMWP campaign will still be active until the end of the year. Raising funds for this important cause doesn’t stop just because October is over! We’ll likely continue the tiered donation prizes (depending on Tim’s availability) and the fan works commissions-for-donations through the end of the year as well.

Real Men Wear Pink

We’re proud to be teaming up with Tim and the Real Men Wear Pink campaign to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness! And when you donate on Tim’s page, you can also earn chances to win some great prizes, including a one-on-one chat with Tim himself!

We’ve set up a page here on the site with all of the details: Real Men Wear Pink.

There are three different ways to participate, including a raffle, tiered donations (again with a chance to chat with Tim), and fan creation (fanfic or art) commissions for donations! 100% of your donations will go to Tim’s RMWP campaign – the prizes are just a bonus!

We’ll be posting more about this (and updating the page) over the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned for more information. And if you have any questions, please email us or use the contact form!

Thank you for your donations and for helping Tim raise money for such a worthy cause!

Tim in “A Christmas Pudding”

It’s been pretty quiet around here lately, but Tim posted some great news on Instagram today. “A Christmas Pudding” has returned this year, and Tim will once again be a member of the cast! And with yet another White Collar reunion of sorts, the cast also features Sharif Atkins and his wife, Bethany (who is a White Collar “Harvard Crew” alum herself)!

The show features stories, songs, and more – and you’ll have two chances to catch it this year if you’re in the southern California area. The first show is on Friday, December 15 at 7pm at Westwood Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, and the second show is on Saturday, December 16 at 7pm at St. Augustine By-the-Sea in Santa Monica, CA. Admission is $25 (or $5 for kids under 16), and the show benefits PATH (People Assisting the Homeless).

Here’s Tim’s Instagram post with the flyer for the show. Hopefully some of you are able to go see Tim, Sharif, Bethany, and the rest of the cast!

Great cause, great cast, great night filled with Christmas stories and songs!
