Tim Reads “A Day at the Festival,” Plus More Lucky Dey Audiobooks Released

As part of Room to Read‘s Storytime video series, they’ve posted a video of Tim reading A Day at the Festival, a book from Laos written by Syamphay Fengsavanh and illustrated by Nivong Sengsakoun (illustrations are displayed in the video).

If you check their YouTube channel, you’ll find a playlist with other videos of celebrities reading children’s books, including Tim’s Second Chance co-stars Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, and Vanessa Lengies!

Room to Read is an organization that works to bring literacy and gender equality in education to low-income communities around the world. You can read more about them here. They also have a free online library of 200 children’s books from around the world, including the book Tim read, A Day at the Festival.

Plus, for those looking for something a little more mature, the next two Lucky Dey audiobooks, written by Doug Richardson and read by Tim, have been released! You can find them on Kobo, Playster, Apple Books, and Audible. (Right now, Audible only has one of the new releases, but the other three services have both.) Thanks so much to Kristen for letting us know about this – you’re awesome! 🙂

Second Chance now available on DVD

Second Chance, featuring Tim as Duval Pritchard, is now available on DVD!

The three-disc set, released today, is available on Amazon. For some reason, the description on Amazon’s page mentions a Turkish series, but all of the other details describe Fox’s Second Chance, and Releases.com confirms that the DVD released today is for the Fox series with Tim, Rob Kazinsky, and Dilshad Vadsaria.

Second Chance – my thoughts after this first season

When I first heard about Tim being cast in a Frankenstein show, I have to say I was a little skeptical… I was happy at the perspective to see him in another show, but I’ve never been particularly interested in the Frankenstein story. I do like Sci-Fi, though, at least a certain kind. So a modern version of it could be fun. And I could just watch for Tim. It’s not like I haven’t done this sort of things before. After all, I fast-forward through all the biblical stuff in Carnivàle, but I still love the carnie world and Jonesy is one of my favorite of Tim’s characters.

But in the end, Frankenstein aka The Frankenstein Code aka Lookinglass aka Second Chance ended up to be quite a good show, that I genuinely enjoyed all around. And much better than you might think just from the premise. Now, I’d be very sad if Fox doesn’t renew it. Which, I know is a slim chance, but the fact that they haven’t just called it yet means there is a chance.
