Wow! What did you think of our introduction to Steven Benjamin in tonight’s episode of Here and Now? I really enjoyed what we’ve seen so far – and I have to admit to fangirling a bit over the photo of Steven with the Obamas! <3 The rest of the episode was great as well. I’m loving the friendship between Kristen and Navid, and that last scene between Greg and Audrey was so powerful.
So what did you think? How are you all liking the show so far? Leave your thoughts below!

I really enjoyed this episode, and not just because of the introduction of Tim’s character. They’re getting into some heavier storyline development now, and the pace is starting to pick up.
First things first, though – Steven Benjamin. “Hippie Dippy Liberal Asshole” should be printed on a shirt or bumper sticker or something. 10/10 would buy. 😉 I loved the scenes between Tim and Holly; they had great chemistry right from the start, and their old friends banter was very convincing. Looking forward to seeing how this relationship develops!
As for the rest of the episode, I’m really liking the friendship between Kristen and Navid. Kristen’s quick acceptance of Navid, and their easy way of talking about controversial subjects is refreshing. Some of the diversity on the show feels really forced, but I don’t feel it as much with these two. (I’m also finding Navid’s parents fascinating – curious to see where their storyline goes, and how Farid is linked with Ramon.)
That final confrontation scene between Audrey and Greg – so intense, and so well-acted. Blew me away. And the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” playing over the closing scenes was poignant. (It’s by the Langley School Music Project, if you’re curious – available on YouTube.)
So what did everyone else think?
FInally got a chance to see the episode myself!
It was so nice to see Tim again! He always illuminates the shows he appears in. He was looking mighty fine, and I really liked his interaction with Audrey/Holly Hunter.
The confrontation between Audrey and Simon was all the more heartbreaking that they have a great chemistry together. I’m gonna be conflicted with that love triangle… 😉
Can’t wait for next week!
As a parent with children who are both biological and adopted internationally, this show caught my eye as soon as I heard about it. I was shocked to hear Audrey refer to her kids as ‘one is mine…’, especially given her empathy initiative! It did show how shaken she was by her discovery and thankfully she did correct herself! I’m really enjoying this show overall. I enjoy Holly and both Tims’ work, and I’m really enjoying all the younger actors I’m being introduced to. I’m vacationing in California this week so I won’t see tonight’s episode until I get home later this week. I’m looking forward to it – pretty rare for me as I barely watch any TV! 🙂
